Well, at least some like it. Shounen yuri manga do exist if you look hard enough. It's just a very niche market.
I'm just grateful it's seem to become almost customary to have at least one easy to see yuri subtext pair in most manga (at least in the series I follow). _________________

When there are far more girls than boys in a series (such as Claymore) it is far easier to see subtext. The same goes for any series populated mainly by boys. _________________

Yes, of course.
Though even in something like Bleach, the Yoruich/Soi Fon, Tatsuki/Orihime stuff seems far more obvious to me than anything involving the male characters. Then again, maybe I just don't notice that stuff unless I'm bashed across the head with it. _________________

Likely. I end up seeing Ichigo/Uryu, Ichigo/Renji, Ichigo/Grimmjow, and Ichigo/Ulquiorra even when I don't want to. Ichigo is not someone I care to pair with anyone (unless it is a bizarre, disturbing pairing, like Ichigo/Kon or Ichigo/Kan'onji). _________________

I think the reason I don't see guy characters getting together is because they aren't usually as touchy and feely with each other as girl characters. _________________ Wanna come over to my house and listen to Jimi Hendrix? Then we can play strip search.

Ah well. Isn't seeing our favourite pairings together what Fanfic and Doujinshi's there for? _________________ Fu fu fu... |

Yes, very much so. That is what makes that kind of freedom fun. _________________

I think Kubo may at least try to fit something in there, seeing how much you can tell he wants it to be an Ecchi series.
Anyone ever seen his other manga? _________________ Fu fu fu... |

I read the first volume of Zombie Powder. Don't recall much of it aside from the fact that it kind of looked like early Bleach and was a little darker it seemed.
It has gotten progressively more ecchi... I agree with that. Tia Harribel's true form is defintie proof. _________________

I have not read Zombie Power, but I once looked at a volume in Book Off (because Book Off does not shrink-wrap books like other book stores) and found profiles for a trio of girls. One busty lass had a T-shirt with "fellate it forever" written on it, and the profile said her hobby was collecting pornography. So yes, Kubo seems to be a pervert. That is why I like him. _________________

It's awesome.
The main character chasing after a train on a unicycle, with his sword on fire.
Not completely awesome, but his sword is a 6 foot chainsaw. 'nuff said. _________________ Fu fu fu... |

ANd yet it didn't have the success of Bleach; I wonder why that is. _________________

I am considering reading Zombie Powder to mine ideas for use in Bleach fan fiction. I heard a few details from it and it sounds a little like ideas I have for my story.
I wonder if the "fellate it forever" girl was something of an ancestor for Lisa, given that both read H. She did not resemble Lisa at all though. _________________

I need to read it.
And it wasn't as successful, because a close friend or relative of Kubo's died during production, and he discontinued it. _________________ Fu fu fu... |
