That's cool. Doubt I'll be to into getting the trophies if they take forever to get.
I'll begrudgingly admit I've become a pretty big fan of Fang/Vanille, despite me not really caring too much for the second half of that relationship. Fang's awesomeness makes up for it, I guess. _________________ Wanna come over to my house and listen to Jimi Hendrix? Then we can play strip search.

The trophies I'm worried about mostly is the one for having had every single piece of equipment in your inventory. Considering how many weapons accesory that means I'll have to upgrade, it sounds like a lot of work. Fully developing every character in the Crystarium is a bit of a task too though...
In my opinion, after having seen it all, including the ending, they really could only have made the Fang/Vanille more obvious if they showed the two kissing. _________________

Yeah... I'm probably not going to worry about getting the trophies too much, then.
Oh, well. The game makers are fucking pricks. _________________ Wanna come over to my house and listen to Jimi Hendrix? Then we can play strip search.

I really doubt I'll play FFXIII much more after I beat it. It's one of the rare games that seems completely anti-replay value. _________________ Wanna come over to my house and listen to Jimi Hendrix? Then we can play strip search.

Yeah, I'd kind of agree.
The only reason I can think to play again would be to experience the story again. Other than that, I'll just be playing it once (and trying to unlock absolutely everything in it). _________________

I'm pleased to announce that after 103 hours of playtime, I have now officially completed Final Fantasy XIII. I have 100% of the game's trophies. I got my Fang PS3 theme (Aksys better not release a Rachel theme or something later this month and render that driving force pointless...).
Anyway, that I spent over 100 hours on it probably speaks for itself. Truly a compelling game. Not without fault; an RPG with such unvaried gameplay would have crumbled were the battle system any worse. A story that pushed ahead so recklessly, would have fallen apart were the characters less compelling and generally likable. But luckily they were (for the most part). The game came together into something great. It's not as perfectly solid a game as Final Fantasy X (or VI or maybe even VII for that matter) but I just might have liked it best anyway. Even if I could see the little faults in the game, there was some compelling glue that held it all together and made it uniquely beautiful. Considering my doubts going in, I now really question my decision to skip FF XII. I might have really missed something due to my prejudices. Hell, I might even be missing something with XI, but that I'm less sure of (and I'm still not sure this sells me on XIV...).
But if there is one thing I must complain about it is the banality of post game gil farming. Adamantoise was the coolest enemy ever the first time I got the nerve to walk up to it and it stomped me to death in one movement. I felt really cool when I finally beat them by exploiting their vulnerability to instant death. But that this big, hard to kill enemy is the only viable means to quickly obtain the gil you need for the treasure hunter trophy is not a good thing, and it only drops the item needed to sell for that gil 25% of the time (luckily it becomes 35 with the right accesory). Especially when the dark matter resource can only realistically be obtained from the shop for an amount of gil equivalent to roughly seven of those items. Since You need five chunks of dark matter for trophy hunter, that 35 Adamantoise you have to kill minimum. Add onto that the number I had to kill for the other items I needed and of course the ones that didn't drop the sell item where I had to reset and fight it again, I'm positive I fought hundreds of those damn turtles. Any appreciation I had for them is gone now. By the end, I was actually watching movies on my computer while I repeatedly fought the damn turtle battle (which is possible as the majority of the battle consists of just pressing X repeatedly until it dies).
ANyway, now I can move onto something else... _________________
