I really don't like the generic leads either, but I don't have to identify with the lead particularly. Even good male leads aren't usually relateable for me. _________________

Watched ep 2.
It still has me intrigued and mildly amused. I'm not able to say definitely that it's good or that I even really like it, but I'm not done with it yet.
If the guy was presented as the main character, I wouldn't give this a second look, but as it is, it really is refreshing. The episode introduced an almost groan inducing ball of cliche in a super-busty clumsy air-head meganekko who happens to be childhood friends with the guy (who I still can't remember the name of...). That she's presented here as a rival and potential friend for Yamada instead of just another addition to the guy's harem makes her a lot more tolerable.
I'm still not sure a show can support itself simply on being contrary to the norm, but we'll see. _________________

That was enough to make me read more. Reading some more Yamada sounds like Fukune before meeting Night, so now I have to read this series. _________________

I guess it's a combination used so often because some people rather like it.
If you do like this type of high school romantic comedy type show, this is probably worth a look though. It's different. _________________

I watch anything with appealing characters. Genre does not matter.
I'm surprised I haven't designed any clumsy, busty, meganekko yet. Time for that to change... _________________

I don't particularly hate the archetype myself. It's cute.
I mean, I'd probably even list Miyuki over Tsukasa in a list of my favorite Lucky Star characters. _________________

Episode 3 was alright I suppose. The series is so free of sustance it's hard to comment on.
I found the situation between the glasses girl and the male lead's sister (I'm horrible with names when it comes to this show...) amusing. Normally I'd love to see a misunderstanding like that milked for yuri subtext, but something tells me it won't happen.
Yamada remains amusing in her perversion and is reason enough to watch. _________________

I watched two eps of this.
It's kind of hard for me to say much about them. This show doesn't stick with me very well. It's just generic romantic comedy anime situatiosn with an unusual female lead thrown in.
At this moment, my favorite characters are the main characters' sisters. Yamada's loli sister is amazing, as well as persistently spying on her perverted older sister she also continually brings home different guys several years older than her... The male lead's (I should learn his name eventually...) older sister is sexy and has a really fun tomboyish personality. I think they dropped the ball on creating another yuri misunderstanding with the Valentines ep, but maybe that's just me...
I can resolutely say now that this is the trashiest feeling thing I'm watching, and that includes Ikki Tousen. _________________

Okay, so Chika the loli sister isn't as loli as I thought she was, being she's now in High School. She's still probably my favorite character as of episode 6.
The evil rich girl this episode focused on was pretty cute though. Her obsessive love for her brother is amusing, as is her generally overblown attitude. She's a lot of fun.
The best part of the episode for me was Yamada's yuri vision of herself and said rich girl. It surprised me. I know she denied "swinging that way" immediately afterward, but she was pretty flush and it was nice and vivid in the first place.
But yeah, this show needs more yuri. It has the potential. No, I don't expect Yamada to begin looking toward girls, but isn't it normal to at least have something on the side? Perhaps those two supporting cast girls in Yamada's class. Hell, I see a lot of potential in Miyano and the guy's older sister, at least for some non-serious teasing.
I guess I've come to excpect too much. _________________

Meh, not much to say about this ridiculous show this week. A decidedly average episode of the most decidedly average thing I'm watching. _________________

It's alarming how pathetic the two central characters of this show can be. I at least find some of Yamada's perversion charming, but the gimmick is wearing...
I still more or less like the supporting cast though. _________________
