Japanese girl voices sound hotter anyway. I wouldn't want to watch Lucky Star without them. |
You're probably right, I'm going to watch Lucky Star from the beginning again only I'm watching it with the original voice seiyus. _________________

There's some dubs I've enjoyed, but it's just a personal preference. I'm not saying that they're in Japan so they must speak Japanese.
I saw the Lucky Star sub first, and I didn't like how they sounded in English. That's all. |
I saw the dub first myself. Actually, I saw them both at roughly the same time. While I was buying the DVDs I'd watch it first in English, then a couple of days later in Japanese, just to see how it was different.

You are perhaps more open minded than I. I just like originality. I don't like remakes, or covers of songs. |
I am very open minded when it comes to that. I actually love cover songs. I enjoy seeing how different artists adapt someone else's song to their own style. Of course, there are a lot of bad covers out there. I still find it interesting.

The original format of anything is usually superior. Books are better than films, the manga is usually better than the anime...
The only exception, in my opinion, is when the original team of creators remake it because they themselves were unsatisfied with the first version. This canbe due to lack of technology, or funding, Etcetera. |
True on both points, I suppose. Usually the film or anime is still worth watching though (unless it is a poor adaption). Seeing something conceptualized and made visual, or rendered into motion adds to the experience. Of course, this point doesn't have much to do with dubbing. Lucky Star, and most anime are adapted from an original manga, so even with that original Japanese cast, it's not technically the original. The manga creator doesn't have voice actors in mind when they're drawing the series (usually), and if they do, that's not likely going to be who is chosen in the end. I don't see how one cast assembled to read a script is superior to another just because they did it first.

Also, this is a complete bias for me. I find the majority of American voices rather annoying when they're acted rather than natural. To me, it ALWAYS sounds wooden, like they're not trying hard enough. Also, the girls tend to sound incredibly thick, even if the character is meant to be intelligent. |
And this is probably because you are English. _________________

God, I hate that word. It doesn't sound romantic at all. _________________ Wanna come over to my house and listen to Jimi Hendrix? Then we can play strip search.

Snogging isn't a very romantic thing. It's purely sexual. Kissing is very passionate and loving, and what I do most of the time.
Anyway, as an English citizen, I hold my right to say such things as my ancestors helped to populate some part of your country.
Probably. o.o
(Don't take me seriously, I was messing around. I like most Americans.) _________________ Fu fu fu... |
