K-On episode 14 might be my favorite episode ever. Seriously. It put the biggest smile on my face.

Of all the characters, my favorite Mugi gets probably the least episodes centered on her. Here we had a completely Mugi-centric episode that highlighted all of her inherent eccentrics, all the lovable weirdness that made me fall in love with her character.

It used the odd combination of Mugi and Ritsu for the delivery for the brilliant setup. I seem to remember in the yuri H topic at one point that there existed no Ritsu/Mugi images at all while Mugi had been drawn with all the other girls. The two really had had very limited interaction to this point, and that's 26 episodes in. This episode really built up an adorable relationship.

The essential focus was on Mugi, who's watched all this time as Mio delivered her tsuntsun strikes to Ritsu's oft damaged forehead. Mugi, having never been stricken by anyone for any reason before is jealous of this display of tsundere love and wants to get hit. She asks Ritsu to hit her, but she can't. So instead they decided to try and get Mio to do it by having Mugi act stupid. Hilarity and lots of Mugi moeness insues.

But aside from being the cutest episode yet in the show, it also was the first with a new OP and ED. I love both. The OP is moe in its purest, most concentrated form. Seriously, the moe there puts the previous 2 OPs to shame (song ain't bad either). The ED on the other hand, scales thing back. It's not as up front and catchy as the other two EDs but instead actually rocks pretty good.

Watched two more eps of K-On!!

Episode 15 was kind of slow in parts. it was cute, but even more insubstantial than usual, though it did bring some Mio moe out, which I haven't noticed in a while. It was mostly a Yui episode though, and those are a little over done.

EPisode 16 was wondeful though. It was an Azusa ep. She was adorable as ever as she interacted with all the other girls, trying to get the band to actually practice and failing horribly. I'm rather curious about this song Mugi wrote though. I wonder if she'll be allowed to sing it? That would be amazing in so many ways... Though it probably won't happen.
