It's a very interesting show, to say the least.

Though I must say I'm more familiar with the modified English Funimation version.

The song is awesome. On the contrary, the anime is far from it.

You saw the same version I did? (the one on TV?)

If so, realize that it's a lot different from the original intent of the show. Funimation changed it heavily with the hopes of making it more compatible with an American audience (essentially by making it lewder). From what I understand, the Japanese version was a bit more family friendly.

Yeah, the one that showed up on Adult Swim.

Ack, I hated that anime! Too many lewd jokes and I could never understand what's going on in the episodes. I hope the Japanese version's better, otherwise I'm going to curse it just like I do to K-On! and some other anime I forget.

Yeah, What's Up People is interesting though it had me freaked a bit the first time I saw it. Lilium is unique.

I also liked Chu Bura of Bleach, the song really caught my attention. Myself; Yourself opening was very good especially at the end when everyone's in a band. And the second opening to Shakugan no Shana's second season was awesome, especially at the end too because it has intense action.

Well, cast all the blame on Funimation then. The American version of Shin-Chan was something of an experiment to them (one I found partly successful, but I understand not everybody is going to like something like that).

I still don't understand the K-On! thing but this is not the place to discuss that either.

Back on topic, I find the opening to Tenjou Tenge amusing. I also rather always used to like the Slayers openings, even if they might be somewhat in the sound-alike category.

Claymore's opening is also pretty cool, if just a touch generic.

Heh, my first time seeing What's Up People made me have nightmares before I started liking it.

Your other choices also sound awesome too, Rahkshi.

Thanks. I also liked the Gundam Seed Destiny Final Plus' opening even though the song used was originally an insert, but boy it was so fitting to both the opening's animation and it being the finale of the series.

I kinda like the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya OP. It's catchy. Also, toLOVE-ru's opening is just great.

The thing with the Haruhi opening is that, as awesome as it is, the ending will always be better.

Hmm... didn't really care for Haruhi's opening myself. (The ending is very awesome though.) It seemed very generic and forgettable.

I like it. I think I'm biased toward anything sung by Aya Hirano though.

Definitely not as good as the ending though.

I was bored, so I thought I'd make a post regarding anime OP's and ED's this anime season.

For opening's, these are my pics for the three strongest fro mthe Spring season:

1. Arakawa Under the Bridge: This is an opening well done. The song is cute, fun and downright infectious. The animation is also top quality stuff that I've come to expect from SHAFT.

2. Angel Beats!: It's not as high quality as the one above. the animation uses a lot of static pictures and part of it is built on recycled footage from the episode. Still, the song is great and the K-On-esque touch of seemingly seeing Kanade play the piano part of the song is wonderful. The Yui version is worth mentioning too, even if it's even more static images.

3. Shin Koihime Musou: Otome Tairan: The song is nothing special really. It's just the sort of ordinary song used for the opening of any given shounen action series. In fact the opening animation has that sort of feel too. Of course if you actually watch the show you know, despite the weapons the girls carry around and the occasional fight or two, this is cutesy moe show. All these awesome girls, and the opening does a good job to showcase most all of the many awesome moe girls, hardly ever get a chance to strike these serious, badass action poses in the actual show. This makes the opening hard to skip for me.

Special mention goes to K-On! Season 2's opening. And B Gata H Kei's opening. I skip the OP for all the other shows I'm watching.

As for ED's, these are my top pics:

1. Shin Koihime Musou: Otome Tairan: Among the cutest things I've ever seen. Koihime Musou has always had very cute endings, but neither were quite on this level. The song is the most endearing yet as well in my opinion. Just infectious.

2. K-On! Season 2: A surpisingly worthy successor to "Don't Say Lazy". Great song and great animation to go with it. Technically it's probably the ED of the season, but the above has a moe level so high I can't rightly ignore it. Much like the last ED, this one provided super cute alternate costumes for the girl. The best of which is Mugi's; her little hat is so cute...

3. Arakawa Under the Bridge: The song sounds pretty cool. The animation is well done too, once it gets going. It showcases the creative supporting cast who are completely ignored in the brilliant opening, which is something I rather like.

None of the other EDs really stick with me. I skip most of them most of the time.

Heh. The Hellsing opening always was pretty cool.

Burst Angel's is indeed fun.
