I know its old but its prob one of the best games I have ever and will ever play. It had everything. Great characters, story line, music, plot twists, magic, everything about this game was awsome. RPG gold Cool I want to know fave characters, momments, hardest boss battles everything. There were rumors for a long time and there still are of either a sequal being made or of Sony bring the original game back for PS2 or 3. There was even talk of a movie for a while. I want to know what u guys think of these rumors and if u think a movie would be an awsome idea, cause I know I do Cool Very Happy

Hmm. I missed the game. Unfortunate, as reading about it now, it sounds interesting.

Look it up I guarentee you will not regret it man Cool It came out at the same time as FF9 and had a realy large fan base. If I had better Internet I would post pics Embarassed The graphics were the best for that genra that year, and as I said the story line was just epic in its complexety.

Sounds really awesome. The pics are also awesome. Wonder why I never head of it either.

Yeah, I looked it up on wikipedia. It came out in what looks like really a pretty good year for RPGs (or at least the same year the PlayStation RPG I recall the fondest, Valkyrie Profile, came out), so I'm not entirely surprised I missed it.

I'm not as super impressed by graphics, but a good story line is very important. If I ever see it ported to a modern system, I might give it a look.

I was reading the story on Wikipedia just seconds ago. If they somehow port it, I will check it out as well. If only game developers made more games like that.

Seriously? Wow...well I guess I'm not all that surprised I mean it is a few years old now and it had FF9 to contend with. As for the graphics as I said they were top of the line when it was released. The character design bares somthing to be desired since it is blocky but the movies and the enviroments are just beautiful and the the Dragoon transformation sequesence are just awsome, so are their magics Cool If ya come across a copy in a store that sells older video games pick it up, ya wont be disapointed Wink And I compleatly agree with ya Sel I have yet to come across a game with a storyline that is up to par.

Thanks Aprentis (I'm going to use that spelling from now on to stop confusing myself), sounds like a great game. Actually, I was never a big fan of the Final Fantasy series, but yeah, no surprise that an overrated series would be able to overshadow a great game.

I'm sure it compared favorably to Final Fantasy 9. That game rather kind of bored me.

I guess the PS3 is backwards compatible with old PlayStation games, so I wouldn't really need to wait for a port, but at the same time there are already a lot of new games out there that I want to buy at the moment.

Final Fantasy isn't bad, just severely overhyped and overrated. Up until FF7 it was probably my favorite game series, but that games failue to live up to its hype left me jaded. I found 8 to be kinda stupid and 9 to be a bit tedious. 10 I genuinely liked, but I didn't even try either of the numbered follow ups since then.

I do look forward to 13 though. Just one of many games I want to get from the first half of this year.

I didn't say anything bad about FF, just said I was never a big fan. And yes, its overrated as hell.

FF's 9 and 10 were the only ones I ever played. 9 because the character design attracted me and 10 pretty much for the same reason. Yay Kimmari Ronso! Cool I was going to play 12 but desided to pass. 13 looks epic but the games on the top of my list right now are Dragon Age and White Knight Chronicals Cool

Getting back to LoD, I saw an advertisement for it on the back of the box my PSone was sold in. It was my first four disc game.

I played FF 3, 4, and 7 if I recall. I never owned these games, I played them when we were living with my cousins for a year. They were good for a while, but then I got bored because of the repetitive combat system. Graphics of the recent games look good, but that's not enough for me to get back into the series.

Oh, so that's how learned of Legend of Dragoon. The only Sony game system my family owns is a PS2. Actually, it's my brother's, but he broke it in a fit of rage.

FF 10 did have pretty good character design (not as crazy about 9's), and was really a solid game. FF 12's battle system looked to strange to me, so it was a sure pass. FF13 looks has awesome character design and looks really solid. Other than it, at the top of my list of games to pick up soon are Sakura Wars: So Long My Love, and maybe Resonance of Fate (though I'm less sure there; an RPG being made byTri-Ace isn't the absolute sign of quality it used to be).

Heh, I've found out about games based on those sorts of game ads before too. Used to all the time; not so much now that I find out everything via the internet.
