I've finished Valkyria Chronicles, and now I'm kind of depressed that I did. The ending was surprisingly good, and tied up everything well.

Have to watch the anime now.

It changes/adds quite a few things.

At the core, it's pretty similar, but it does have a lot of differences.

Not very big at all (though Susie has a decent role in the first couple episodes). It mostly still focuses on the story characters. The squad members are mostly background characters that add a few amusing moments. Marina, Jann, Aisha, Homer, Karl, Oscar, and Emile are the other lesser Squad Seven members in the anime.

By the way, I really came around to liking the sniper class after I leveled them up some more. Once I started getting headshots all the time, they became pretty fun to use. Marina is definitely my favorite sniper too.
