I got it at the same time I got BlazBlue. The first day I touched BlazBlue was the last day I touched Dissidia.

I like Dissidia more. I've never played a Final Fantasy through to the end, except X and X-2. It was nice seeing the heroes and villians come together and interact like that.

For me, the main character in a Final Fantasy game is almost always the least interesting character in the entire game. And the villians in at least half those games are pretty devoid of character, pure evil types. Neither side particularly interested me.

I've played most Final Fantasy games through to the end. All of them but FF I and FFIX actually (and FFXI and FFXII, which I didn't play at all). I tend to complete every RPG I start.

Golbez and Jecht weren't evil. They merely ended up on Chaos' side this time. According to The Emporer,Jecht once served Cosmos, but after the end of one war,he was on Chaos' side at the beginning of the current one.

Well, even so, the majority of them were pretty straightforward evil without much of anythign else to them.

Yeah, but like the Warriors of Cosmos, they had their disagreements. I like that in a villian, the unyielding spirit and resolve in one's beliefs. Except Kuja. No one cares about him.

Meh. The whole cast and the whole game was fairly boring. I won't be buying any sort of sequel to it unless I hear they get much better characters.

I doubt they will. This seems very much like a single game. If they made a sequel, they'd have to explain how the world became disorganized again, dispite Chaos' death.

Official word is that there is talk of a sequel, but only if it gets a lot of fan support.

Thinking up some sort of contrived reason for a sequel isn't so hard. Who knows, they might use an entirely different plot setup for it.

True. I would like to see a sequel of some sort. Or another game like it.

if it had a better cast I could maybe get into a sequel or spin off where I was unable to get into Dissidia.

Whaddya mean,"better cast"? It was the heroes and villains from I through X,plus Shantotto and Gabranth. How do you get better than that?

Include characters from the games who are actually interesting. In my opinion, the main protagonist and antagonists are often the least interesting characters in Final Fantasy games. I'd prefer to see some of the other characters inserted into the game. With the exception of FFX, FFVI, FFIV and probably FFIX the protagonists are all particularly one note and boring characters. Even in those games, I can think of more interesting playable characters (Auron, Celes, Kain and well... I don't recall much interesting at all in IX). But yeah, I'd love to see some of the more actually interesting characters inserted.

And of course the more obvious move, I'd love to see characters from my new favorite FF game, FFXIII.

Lightning WAS gonna be in Dissidia, but Nomura said he didn't want to reveal too much about her fighting style before XIII came out.

Yeah. I heard that too. She'd definitely need to be in any potential sequel.
