Eh, I think there's still a lot to be done with the superhero genre, even if some movies in it haven't been great. _________________

Well, video games is out. Anytime they make a superhero video game, most of the time it tanks. TV shows and comics seems to be the best chances of winning audiences (even thought today's portrayal of the superheroes in today's cartoons are going to help the superhero genre at all). _________________

Last years Batman: Arkham Asylum was reputably one of the best games of the year, so I'm not entirely sure about that. It can be done right. _________________

Oh yeah, how did I forget about that? Even so, that's probably the only exception I can remember. _________________

I can't really think of another concrete example myself, but that's at least proof that it can be done right. _________________

Dont play much super hero video games either but at least those cant be subject to bad acting and things being lost in translation. As to todays super hero shows dont get me started. I still havent gotten over the fake anime nightmare that is Teen Titans. _________________ "Are there any normal people left in the world or is everyone just back from Hell?" *SPAWN* |

Only watched it cause Sam was at the time and I had promised to hang out with her in her room for a bit when I was visiting that time. God I hate how some of these amarican cartoons are trying to pass them selves off as anime when they are no where near. Drives me nuts _________________ "Are there any normal people left in the world or is everyone just back from Hell?" *SPAWN* |

Well, I can't blame them for wanting to mimic the style, especially since it's become fairly popular over here.
But yeah, I take it they failed with it, _________________

Actually, some of them like Teen Titans and Avatar: The Last Airbender are actually quite good. True they may have some characteristics similar to anime, but they're not necassarily anime themselves, but so what?
Apprentise, you seem to forget that fact that the director of Teen Titans is Japanese. |

I didnt know that, but so what? The thick lines and over exagerated sweat drops and the like just made me want to go ick. Avatar.....eh.....what I saw of it was alright but some people do think that its anime and it isnt. Had to explain that to some of the members of my anime club. _________________ "Are there any normal people left in the world or is everyone just back from Hell?" *SPAWN* |

So what? No need to get all angry because some show's style was influenced by anime.

You said it drives you nuts. Sounds pretty angry to me. If you don't like it, that's fine with me.
And secondly, America's not the only one who have shows whose style is influenced by anime. There's also Europe and other parts of Asia. |

It does but I wasnt angry when I posted in reply to u. What I mean is that "So what?" was not ment to sound as if I were upset. If it did I'm sorry. I'm sure thats so but I havent seen any of those, at least I do not think that I have. _________________ "Are there any normal people left in the world or is everyone just back from Hell?" *SPAWN* |
