NCIS stands for Naval Criminal Investigative Service. It's the primer security, counter-intelligence, counter-terrorism, and law enforcement agency for the U.S. Department of Navy and investigates crimes from both the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps.
The show itself is about a group of fictional agents who work within the agency and they catch bad guys, similar to CSI (Crime Scene Investigaton). They'll catch terrorists, murderers, rapists, double agents, you name it. I don't think it shows that show from where you live, Ra, based on Wikipedia.

I see. That sounds like it might be interesting. I can see that on television actually; I even saw the season one box set a few days ago in a store.
