It's been a while, but since I'm catching up, I saw Angel Beats! Ep. 10. Again, do not read if you haven't watched because as always I put spoilers.
--------------
So, Yui isn't as annoying as I thought. The only reason why she's so energetic and what not is because she was paralyzed after getting hit with a car. So, Otonashi helps her fulfill her dreams like getting a goal by getting past 5 defenders (the goal-of-the-century), doing a German Suplex, and getting a home run. Even though the last part wasn't accomplished, she felt happy that she was able to try anyway and that her last wish was to get married. At last, we finally see what was truly there: Hinata loves Yui and agrees to marry her (it also makes Hinata a lolicon, haha). Yui passes on in the most dramatic, tear-jerking episode yet. I'm still crying right now.
The post-credits scene reveals a new enemy, but all they can refer to it is a shadow.
--------------
So there you have it. All that fighting and sexual tension is now finally put to rest between those two. All that leaves the rest of the gang. I know Ep. 11 is already out and I did read the summary so I know what happens, but its best if I watch. _________________

Just watched it myself, along with episode 11.
I really do love Yui. It was sad and sweet learning about her. Really a tender moment there at the end. Fun episode.
Episode 11 was more serious. It setups the finale real well and changes the direction a bit. I'm not sure what say but I'm definitely curious about how all this will wrap up. This episode excelled at wrapping things up.
Also watched two eps od Arakawa under the bridge. Ep 8 had people from Kou's company showing up at the bridge and Kou trying to get the reisdent weirdoes to pull off normal, with varying results. Nino wouldn't play alogn though, leading to drama and eventually a kiss. ANd i nthe end it setups what will probably be the final showdown, a confrontation between Kou and his father. Ep 9 was also amusing, focusing first on Stella's realization of Sister's feelings for Maria (it's great how so many fo the characters in this show have unrequited loves) resulting in her transforming from adorable loli into musclebound giant. Maria is really sexy. Later part of the episode went inot Hoshi's backstory, but what he said may or may not have been completely fabricated, so it's great.
Watched one Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou. Episode 9 had tsundere Junko being super cute and seductive. Akuto was pretty cool too, save for the fact that he turned her down. The show seems to be pointing toward him and Keena which kind of alarms me. Seriously, she's my least favorite.
I still have mroe to watch, but I'm done for now. FFXIII had be fall a little behind. _________________

FFXIII made you behind a lot. You got to quit that game or at least finish the damn thing.
I decided to watch Ep. 11 anyway as well. What really bothered me was that Oyama was the one present when Takamatsu got his soul sent to hell by that shadow monster thing (I know it was a portal, but they can take the shape of creatures so bear with me). Where's the rest of the SSS, better yet, where the hell is Shiina? Haven't seen her for a while and she could've defeated that shadow thing single-handedly.
So, let's see, two girls passed on happily, one dude sent to the shadows. Hm, I wonder if I'm starting to see a pattern here... _________________

Heh, or just play it less.
Shiina was shown fighting shadows a couple of times in that episode. if I recall.
As for the pattern, I see it a little differently. I mean, we have three guys (Otonashi, Hinata and Noda) who have had their pasts expounded on and are essentially ready to depart, but are aloud to hang on for whatever reason. The girls who reach the same state pass on immediately. _________________

That too, but still finish the game. It'll be pointless if you buy the game then don't finish it.
Aw shit, you're right. My bad.
Wait, what? I was touching up on another pattern. Perhaps the NPCs were just like the SSS only to be swallowed up just like Takamatsu. But good spotting there with the passing on theory. Wait, since when did Noda's past get explained, I don't remember catching that. _________________

Yeah. Of course I'll finish. I always finish games I get eventually.
Oh damn. Sorry, name confusion. I meant Naoi, not Noda. _________________

Good, that would've seemed like a waste of money if you didn't.
Thanks for the correction, I was beginning to wonder if I somehow missed something on accident again.
Anyways, I wonder if the shadows existed before the SSS was formed. That man seems to know something, but the disturbing part for me is that "Christ" might be the one creating the shadows and therefore was a double agent for whoever he was working with. _________________

I was thinking that as well. Christ does have the computer knowhow, and of course his name links him to the whole "God" thing. The man there did seem suspicious to me as well. I mean how many adult characters have been in this show. I'd have though Yuri would be more concerned by him. _________________

Exactly. Also, the timing is definitely suspicious: an adult finally gaining sentience, the whole "Christ" thing, and the the Guild, which I'm guessing is the world's version of Hell. Ugh, my brain hurts now.
Well, I should tell you that I'm going to bed now, even though I told that to Ra more than 10 minutes ago, but I thought it would be unfair not to tell you either. So yeah, good night Phil. _________________

Watched more anime.
One more ep of Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou. Kind of meh. It's trying to be all epic and intense, but it's losing a lot of what I loved about the show initially. I'm beginning to fear this show is going to crush a little too much in before the end and suffer for it.
THen I watched two eps of Shin Koihime Muso Otome Tairan. Awesome!!! I was away from this show too long... Ep 9 had the main cast reunite after their respecctive fetch quests. Aisha and Rinrin's reunion was particularly cute. So, then the catgirl general hat they all went out of their way to help for reasons I still don't fully comprehend was brought in to get un-catgirlfied. Of course, despite the trouble it didn't completely work... It just restored her from mini-catgirl to full figured sexy catgirl. She was then made into the "personal breasts" to Motokou and her Nanban barbarians (who remain adorable breast obsessed lolis). Things took an odd serious tone after that. The new villian, a character I was never able to tell if it was a girl or boy, began to draw attention, as s/he ruled over Toutaku's territory with an iron fist, while placing the blame on her, who s/he has imprisoned. Idiot queen Enshou sends words to the other rulers to join her in war against Toutaku's faction and pretty much all the character's mobiliaze against them.
Episode 10 picked up right there, with a similar serious tone. Ryofu's depressed abotu having to fight a war she doesn't believe in. her pet loli notices and runs away from her, inflitrating the enemy camp to beseech them forself, explaining the situation with Toutaku. Cat-loving ninja Shuutai is tasked with inflitrating the palace and rescuing Toutaku so they don't have to fight each other. Once Toutaku is secured, Ukitsu shows himself to again be the true villain (guy is a serious bastard...). I do have to wonder though, if you have instant rat transformation medicine, why would you ever neeed extremely gradual cat transformation medicine? I suppose logic will never dictate moe. _________________

Right, so Angel Beats! Ep. 12. Of course, my usual disclaimer of don't read if you don't want anything spoiled:
------
So, more shadows being destroyed, Yuri almost got turned into a NPC, and with Otonashi, Kanade, Hinata, and Noai, she locates the source of the shadows. In a scene reminiscent to the Matrix, the guy there explains the reason for the shadows appearing and the whole purpose of this world in general. And while we may never know who created the 'Angel Player', Yuri was offered to be God of this world using the Angel Player software. Yuri refuses and destroys all the computers before killing the dude as well. She sobs, thinking that she has failed both in her past life and the afterlife, but her dead siblings reassure her and that they're glad that she was thinking about them even though she was at war.
-----
I'm really sad for this to go. Next Friday is the last episode of the season (and possibly the series). _________________

Shit, I can't believe it's the end. I'm seriously still crying, I can't believe its over. Well, let's just get this over with then. Again, spoilers ah-, ah-, ahead....
------------------
Episode 13: Yuri has finally defeated her regrets and so on. And so to commemorate their time together, they had a graduation ceremony. After all the songs, giving out diplomas, and so on, they began to disappear one by one. First Naoi, then Yurippe, then Hinata. Remember when I said that Otonashi and Kanade are the couple? I was right, Otonashi finally confesses to Kanade, to which she replies that if she tells him her feelings, she'll disappear as well. Then the big shocker: Otonashi's amnesia was on purpose! Turns out that Otonashi's heart after he died was used for Kanade's implied heart transplant and that the reason she's there because he's there (and therefore his heart is beating and keeping her alive or what not). But Kanade realizes that she is happy that he loves her and she wants him to repeat his confession. He refuses repeated times, but then realizing that he would be dooming her, he says I love you one final time before she says thank you and disappears. That was supposed to be the ending, but I guess here's a little scene to stop the tears for Otonashi (but not the end of the series). Otonashi is given a second chance at life and he finds Kanade (albeit in a different outfit) humming "Your Song" from Episode 3 (or was it 5?). Remembering that, he goes up to her to tap her shoulder, to which the dreaded cliffhanger ends the show. DAMN YOU CLIFFHANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
------------------
If anyone needs me, I'll be here...doing whatever....
WHY!? Why does it have to end now!?! This fucking sucks! What am I going to do on Fridays now!?! _________________

Well, I just watched the final two episodes of Angel Beats! Just thought I'd comment.
There were bits in the ending that sort of confused me. Was Kanade dead, or was it just her spirit that was there or something? It wasn't fully explained. My guess is she's comatose in the real world and her spirit just wandered over there. But the fact that she was in that world long before Otonashi confuses me. Was Otonashi in some sort of limbo after his death or something or what? I mean if Kanade had Otonashi's heart when she stabbed him in the first episode, it couldn't have just been a dead one day in the after life place the next. Heart surgery takes longer than that. And it makes even less sense if kanade was supposed to be dead. Then there was the Kannazuki no Miko style ending scene that just calls everything back into question (as their ages would be drastically different unless Kanade's disappearing signals her dying rather than her waking up)...
But even if my mind is confused, my heart is no less moved. The emotional beauty of the last episode was incredible.
Equally incredible was how incredibly moe both Yuri and Kanade can be when they really put their minds to it as they did in the final episode .That was intense moe that not even the characters of K-On! quite achieve (speaking of Yuri's supreme tsundere reactions and Kanade's mapo tofu song, or course). Also, the last two vibes made me think Kanade/Yuri actually has soem substance to it. I know the ending is pretty heavily Otonashi/Kanade, but I think in the proper AU the relationship betwee nthose two has the potential to be tweaked in beautiful ways. _________________
