So the game has now come out in Japan.

Apparently, the lovable hackers of the world went inside the game disc and uncovered some of Arc System Works' secrets.

Makoto still hasn't been released, you see, but on the disc, there are character files; placeholders for her, if you will. Thing is, there were two other sets of placeholders as well. So yeah, looks like Arc has two more DLC characters on the way, still unannounced officially.

One of them is my dearest Rachel's badass butler and one of the six heroes, Valkenhayn Hellsing, a standout NPC of the first game. A rather cool old guy, he'll make and excellent addition to the game.

The other is a character not even in the first game. An NPC original to Continuum Shift. Platina the Trinity is apparently another of the six heroes, meaning four out fo six will be playable now (as one is dead, that's pretty good; now we just need Jubei). But the best part about Platina is that she looks like this:

Yep. Blazblue just got its second loli. She goes a completely different route than Rachel. No badass elegant gothic lolita, but instead she looks to capitalize on the super moe loli thing. Which is wonderful. I will play as her for sure.

In additional news, I've been hovering around Aksys official board as they answer questions about the game. I've found some interesting info about it, but more interesting than anything else I was made aware of the fact that there is a "balance patch" in the work. They're very quiet about it, but unless the definition of "balance" has changed there's a good chance my Rachel won't suck for long. After all, as much as I want to play the six new character, I still want to main Rachel. She's still my third favorite character in anything.

My Arakune is great. I love playing as him and whooping ass...ociates of mine. >>

Oh, you play BlazBlue too? That's awesome. Arakune's probably my third best character in Calamity Trigger.

I'm adequate with everyone but Bang, Hakumen and Carl. Best with Rachel, Litchi, Arakune and Taokaka.

It's more than that. comes out the 27th, I believe. My preordered copy won't come until the 29th.
