For the sole reason, that I found some awesome pics, I thought I'd make a topic sharing one of my current obsessions. Among the games I got this Christmas, was BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger, a 2D fighting game. it is, in a word, awesome. Between it, Omegle, and pornography, it's no wonder CG:AotCT is coming so slowly this week.
The game is fairly simple, playing like any other 2D fighter really. It has the best story mode I've ever seen in a fighting game (a sort of visual novel style thign, with fights breaking it up); though that may not be saying a lot, considering the only fighting game series I've really kept up with in the past 10 or so years are Super Smash Bros and Soul Calibur (neither particularly known for its story).
But a fighting game is made by its characters, and I'm rather impressed by this cast. There's a jerk, a kinda crazy guy, a kind of crazier guy (in a mask), an idiot, a crazy little boy, a giant red guy, a black slime creature and five hot chicks. I've really only ever play as the five hot chicks at the moment. It is one of the most varied groups of five hot chicks I've seen in a while.
There's Noel Vermillion, who's super moe and fights with guns.
Litchi Faye-Ling, who has the sexy body. She's also a doctor.
ν-13, who seems to be a very extreme take on a kuudere. She's speaks like some sort of emotionaless robot. She also has a sexy eyepatch.
Rachel Alucard. She's a loli vampire. She's also rather tsundere. A bored tsundere who thinks she's better than everyone and probably is. She's my favorite character.
Finally there's Taokaka. She may not look like a very sexy hot chick with the blacked out face and creepy grin, but she totally is. She's an insane, infectious catgirl.
Almost as awesome as the game itself, is the offficial art for the game. Arc Systems Works, doesn't leave hardly anything up to the fans as it seems (expect Taokaka's face...). Their promotional artwork is just awesome.
loli fanservice:
Maids:
Schoolgirls:
And lots of yuri teasing:
I think I have a new fighting game series to follow for a while now. _________________

Not much more to say.
It's on PS3 and that other console that isn't Wii. It plays like most any other fighter; isn't stupidly dificult to the point where you need to be a master (though it is occasionally frustrating), and it's overall prety amusing.
Despite the images, there doesn't seem to be much actual yuri in the game yet.
Still pretty awesome. _________________

Hmm, I'll think about it. I'm not crazy about fighting games. _________________ Wanna come over to my house and listen to Jimi Hendrix? Then we can play strip search.

yeah, well it is what it is.
As much as I love the game, it will not make you like fighting games if you don't already. _________________

I don't dislike fighting games.
I'll probably look up some reviews before I buy it though. _________________ Wanna come over to my house and listen to Jimi Hendrix? Then we can play strip search.

It's gotten pretty good reviews. But yeah, that's a good idea to see if it's something that sounds like you'd like. _________________

I hate game discussions, but I have to say I am pleased you bought BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger. Rachel is my favorite to play too.
It might be best to do drop one of those distractions. I suggest Omegle. _________________

Yeah, I think I am done with that for now. Even with distractions I'm getting about a scene done each day; I'll probably have a chapter out by the weekend at this pace.
But yeah, I'm certainly not done with BlazBlue. In addition to being an adorable, sexy, loli vampire, Rachel also is very fun to play as. _________________

Okay, I'm not so sure anyone is really going to care, but exciting news for me at least came out today.
I've been thoroughly pumped for BlazBlue: Continuum Shift for some time now, as most of you probably know. This is despite the fact that I've heard that my beloved Rachel has recieved serious downgrades and now is bottom tier and the fact that the number of new characters was small.
Well, the latter issue has been addressed it seems. Initially it was just Hazama, Tsubaki and Lambda, the last of which appeared to be just a reduced strength palette swap of Nu. Then Mu was announced to my glee, and today I got even more fun news. There will be full characters available for purchase as DLC. One of them is, Nu who will return surprisingly, despite being replaced. I wonder what will be done to differentiate her from Lambda? Considering that I thought she had been removed from the game as much for story reasons as for being completely unbalanced a character, this honestly takes me aback. But it's good news. Cold computerized occasionally yandere eyepatch girls are hot.
But the infinitely more exciting news is of the other character. Makoto Nanaya is being made playable. This isn't just a palette swap or a variation of another character, but another full unique character. What's more, I really loved Makoto in those few flashback scenes I saw her in the first game. Even better is her official art:
She's wearing next to nothing. Can we say awesome. I love my sexy squirrel girl. Tonfas are kind of cool too.
I wonder if this means there's other DLC in the works we don't know about? Perhaps Jubei or Kokonoe or Valkenhayn will be made playable at a later date? Probably not, but this at least makes it a possibility.
July 27 cannot get here soon enough. I fucking want this game. Need my BlazBlue fix.
Even if my Rachel still might suck... _________________

Impressive, sounds like a fun sequel. Sucks you have to wait another month and four days for it though. _________________

Yep. But that's hardly very long to wait, as I see it. _________________

It'll come out, it will. It would suck if they decided to delay it for a month or so, though. _________________

Well, considering it's coming out July 1 in Japan, I wouldn't be too disappointed if it got delayed a bit. Even if it's a fighting game, under a month is an impressive turn around to get a game out over here. _________________
