I am reading one of the many rejected scripts for Star Wars, and it is interesting how it has more in common with The Phantom Menace than the original Star Wars. It has a Jedi-in-training named Annikin Starkiller who must protect 14-year-old Princess Leia from the New Galactic Empire and General Darth Vader. Then at the end Annikin and Leia kiss tenderly, even though there is a 4-year age difference. This version of Star Wars would have been great for loli fans.

One thing Star Wars needed was loli.

Oh, and little Leia in that early script is a bit of a tsundere.

I am surrprised by how many early scripts for fantasy films contain loli elements. The first script for Ridley Scott's Legend had a 12-year-old or so princess who opens her dress and allows a unicorn to suckle her breast. No wonder these scripts get rejected.

Why do all the good ideas get rejected?

The Emperor in that script I read was named Cos Dashit. "Grande Mouff" Tarkin was a good but ineffectual guy. Luke Skywalker is the name of a Jedi general who plays a fairly small role. Lightsabers are called "laserswords". Darth Vader is a proper name (actually called "Darth" on occation) and the man is a regualar man with gray hair and eyes. Wookees play a role like the Eewoks in Return of the Jedi. Han Solo is a huge, green skinned monster with no nose and large gills.

Nothing more true could be said.

That would have livened everything up, certainly. I think there are some lolis in new Star Wars stories though.

Oh, I made a mistake; Luke in the script I read plays a role like that of Obi Wan Kenoobi, the old mentor. Not a small role at all.

It is, but C3P-O is exactly the same and the "He doesn't like you," scene is pretty much the only one kept just as it was from this script. Everything else is just bewhilderingly different.
