How the hell did he feel betrayed!?! There was no evidence of that! Because he decided to be Villeta's lovesick puppy, he ended up screwing up the entire revolution in the first place and almost got Lelouch killed.

Well I do, so there. But I respect your opinion, I'm not sure how that could've gone any better either.

Anyways, I've done more speculative history research for Code Geass and I think I may have found the origins of the Middle Eastern Federation (not that it matters anyway, but still). Consider the following:

After Napoleon's death and the creation of the European Universe or (European Union since it;s based on that anyway), several empires joined and became democratic while others were forced or were at risk at being the next target for a revolution. The Ottoman Empire was no exception and it was probably forced into the E.U. So, after the CG version of WWI, the Ottoman Empire collapsed, leaving Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Quwait, Yemen Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and the U.A.E. as successor states. The two former decided to stay with the E.U., but apparently the Arabic populations didn't want to be part of the 'European Imperialist Scheme or Agenda' and had its own war against the E.U. The E.U., having been weakened by WWI, could not fight efficiently to take back those nations and thus the Middle East was liberated. Soon after, by a treaty, the Middle East nations created the Middle East Federation, which by comparison looks like the Arab League.

Yep. I just can't blame anyone for falling in love with Villetta...

Sounds like a possibility, I suppose.

Here's what still bugs me: the Knightmare Frames. They had hover jets for legs which is advanced technology. How the hell did they get a hold of that?

My point exactly. Well, it may have to do with the negative portrayal of Muslims, particularly the Islamic fundamentalist terrorists. It seems that they're portrayed as anti-science, anti-technology, anti-pretty much anything that does not compute with radical Islam which is essentially anti-everything except for the creation of a one world Islamic state.

I don't like to see trope articles inserted into speach.

It's all in good fun, Ra. Didn't really mean to offend anyone.

I'd have probably mentioned it eventually anyway.
