I saw the first episode of the second season of Queen's Blade a few days earlier, and I am quite interested in seeing where the new season goes. It seems there will be more plot this time while, incrediblly, the service gets a power boost! There was a huge amount of casual nudity in the new epsiode and a surprisingly explicit tentacle scene that was only a step away from pure H. I would be very impressed if both the plot and the service stay boosted, but I imagine one of those will take a back seat to the other. The first episode was a bit darker than anything I had seen previously, but it remains to be seen if that remains as well.

In the mean time, why not discuss Queen's Blade in general? In a number of days, I also plan to start a Queen's Blade role-play as a celebration of the new Queen's Blade episodes. I still need time to decide on the approach I want to take with that though.

Oh, wow, looking forward to it now. Can't wait until a proper fansub for the first episode is released.

The Queen's Blade series is one of great apeal to me. A full cast of beautiful, strong, sexy girls. Lots of hints of romance between some of them. It's almost perfect for me. It's like Claymore (my favorite manga) with 100 percent more fanservice.

The five standouts in the cast for me are:

Nix is just beautiful. As she wasn't really even in the first series, I don't really know her that well yet, but in terms of character design, hers is the one with the maximum appeal to me.

Alleyne is sexy and cute at the same time. She's also a very strong, confident warrior. Needs more screen time as well.

Echidna's something special. Very sexy and sexual. A good yuri character. I look forward to seeing what she does this season.

Risty embodies the strong, compotent female warrior. She's also playful and sexy. She seriously needs to hook up with Reina.

Irma is a very cute, underrated character with a lot going for her. She's quite attractive and cool. I want more of her this time around.

Elina and her sister incest dreams, Ymir the axe-loli, Aili the evil maid, and sexy female ninja who seems to like priestesses, Shizuka, narrowly miss the list.

Awesome news. She's so hot. That was the one thing about the first season that disapointed me, that she didn't really show up.

I can't wait to learn more about her.

As with most things, I don't have any favorite characters because I see good points in all of them. It too difficult for me to decide on favorite characters, particularly in a series such as Queen's Blade. I wish there were some way to give each character her own series to flesh her out to the fullest. Oh well; perhaps I can write some fiction for some characters that do not appear as frequently.

I think I've already expressed my interest in maybe doing a Queen's Blade fic upon the completion of CG:AotCT myself. Any fanfiction you'd write for the series would also be nice.

But, yeah, I pick favorite characters in everything. Can't help but compare them.

And yeah, these four deserve pictures. I've decided.

I like girls with spears and yuri incest. Elina provides both.

Maid costume. I don't think I have to explain Aili's appeal beyond that.

Loli. Really cute. Massive axe only makes it better. Ymir will always be a favorite.

And this image will have to break the pattern, since she doesn't seem to have her own official Queen's Blade book thing:

She looks good holding Tomoe, has a delicious costume, and is a ninja. Go Shizuka.

Okay, I will go with working with the canon characters in this play then. I do want to make up my own characters for some reason or another sometime though.

If I ever start a larger-scale play on another forum, I will let you know, Phil. You might like the place.

I understand wanting to make your own characters for something like this. Queen's Blade does sort of encourage that sort of feel, what with its multiple character designers and all.

And I'll appreciate hearing if you do something like that, especially if you're sure I'll like the place.
