Well it's good to hear your opinion on the matter Phil.

No offense, Phil, but I sorta agree with one thing the first critic said, to a certain extent. Your earlier attempts to portray Ava in more positive light have, as the critic said, "fallen flat" and gave the impression that you're trying to get the audience to feel sympathetic for her instead of letting her actions speak for themselves. It didn't help in changing my opinion on her back then. And even though she has recovered from her trauma, she hasn't seem to be performing redeemable acts aside from removing Ritcher from power, but that could be due to how the other characters are being more focused on in the story than she is. Compared to how she was in the beginning, she has improved a bit. As for how my opinion is now, well I kinda still don't particularly like her, but I have come to tolerate her more, which is different from immense hatred I use to have. It's now more on a neutral standpoint.

And as Lelouch role, I agree. You wanted the story to shift to a new cast. There's also another reason I can give on why Lelouch won't go back into action. After his apparent "death" he is suppose to be dead in the eyes of the world. If he were ever exposed to the public of being alive, it will bring further contempt to what he and Suzaku have done to change the world. People will believe that not only did they stage the whole Zero Requiem, they'll believe that he faked his death which will make them ever more angry.

Forgive me if my opinion is making things worse.

I have to say, I agree with Rahkshi on both accounts. I, too, despised Ava in the early chapters, despite your efforts to make her more likable. Even now, I'm still not a huge fan of her, but I'll admit that her character has improved somewhat.

And what you said about Lelouch is true. Too many people see him as the most important element in Code Geass and expect him to be extensively in every fanfic, when really not having him in it for the most part is a good idea.

Well, Ava was always going to be divisive. I didn't want her to be all together likable at all really early on. Some of what may have seemed like attempts to make her seem likable, were equal parts attempts to show you just how naïve she was in her understanding of certain emotions and things. It still remains that, being a completely nationalistic character, who puts Britannia before the world as a whole, she was always going to not be popular with some people. That's one of the reasons I wanted such a diverse cast of characters. I wanted there to be someone anyone could like, even if they didn't like Ava.

And yet, she's number two in the still running character poll... someone likes her, I suppose even if you two don't.

I don't know if I'll be able to. I already have a School Days fanfic, Silent Hill fanfic, and an original fic I intend to work on. If I could, I probably would be able to work on one of the CG ideas.

But in case I don't, does anyone want to know what the general stories are? I don't mind explaining them.

What is the original story about again? I can't remember if you ever told me exactly what it is, just that it involves old characters or somesuch.

This one I told Phil and Rab once before.

The first story idea takes place shortly before season one to around the beginning of season two. The story’s focuses on the war between Britannia and the Euro Universe. The protagonist is Juno Cashman, daughter of EU politician Gabriel Cashman, who entered the military was successfully made it into EU’s top Knightmare team Titan. She ships out to where the team will be fighting but is suddenly attacked by Britannian forces who were destroying a nearby town. She tries to help out but is captured by enemy foot soldiers. Before the firing squad can attempt to kill the captured soldiers and civilians, a boy steps forward to offer Juno a chance to save herself. Out of desperation to not be killed, she agrees and is granted the power of Geass. Juno is successful in defeating the firing squad and rescuing her people. She confronts the boy asking who he is and what is the power he gave her. He introduces himself as G.G., saying they both share a contract. Juno at first doesn’t like the idea, but soon decides to let G.G. accompany her. The rest of the story is basically Juno and G.G.’s battles in the war against Britannia and the events that would lead to the fall of the Euro Universe.

This one I discussed with Rab once.

This one’s more-or-less my version of the Lost Colors game with Rai as the protagonist. Like in the game, he wakes up in Ashford Academy and is taken in by Lelouch and Milly. He has lost his memories, but can only vaguely remember his name as Rai, as far as he knows. He becomes a student at Ashford Academy and adopts Frost as his last name until his memories return. He comes across C.C. who awakens his sealed Geass. He doesn’t know what to make of the issues between the Britannians and Elevens, but after meeting Kallen Stadtfeld and learning of the Elevens’ suffering and the lost of her brother, Rai wishes to help her but doesn’t know how. In one incident Rai uses his Geass to help her. Soon Kallen offers him to join the newly formed Black Knight in a fight against Britannia. He is introduced to Zero who proposes for him to join, who somehow knows about his Geass. At first Rai doesn’t trust Zero but joins anyway for Kallen’s sake. He is given the Gekka Pre-Production Test Type.

Meanwhile, the story’s antagonist, Alicia Goldberg, a Britannian girl from a noble family in the homeland, arrives in Area Eleven is assigned to working with Lloyd, Cecile, and Suzaku. She is given the Lancelot Club and goes to Ashford Academy with Suzaku. She soon becomes Rai’s rival.

During his time in Ashford Academy, getting to know everyone, and his time in the Black Knights, Rai becomes friends with Lelouch, Suzaku, and Alicia, though with her it’s more of a like-dislike kind of friendship and starts to develop romantic feelings for both Kallen and Nunally, but can’t decide. Eventually his memories return. His real name is Lie Randgrith and his past is the same as in Lost Colors, though an alteration is that part of it was set up by Britannia as an excuse to conquer an enemy country. He tells Lelouch and Milly about it, to which Milly decides to continue sheltering him. He decides to no longer be known as Lie Randgrith, but to forever be known as Rai Frost. Back with the Black Knights, Rai gets to know Kaguya, realizing that they’re both related. He soon has a talk with Zero, who he’s still is unsure of whether to trust him or not. Zero explains that both he and Rai are alike in many ways, removing his mask and revealing himself as Lelouch Lamperouge, the person who help sheltered him. He again offers Rai to join him, not as soldier and leader, but as true companions. Rai soon understands that he and Lelouch really are alike and that Britannia hasn’t change since his past. He becomes confident and accepts Lelouch’s offer, both now knowing that Britannia must be destroy. Rai is now more torn between his feelings for Kallen and Nunally, especially the latter because in an earlier scene they had their first date with Lelouch keeping a close watch on them.

Later Rai meets Euphemia Li Britannia and discovers her relationship with Suzaku. When hearing about the Special Administrated Zone of Japan, he begins to question his motives and wonders if there really is some good in Britannia. On the day where the S.A.Z. become a reality, Rai becomes suspicious Lelouch’s strange behavior. He wonders what the secret meeting between Euphemia and Zero is all about only to find Euphemia running out, telling Rai she intends to kill the Japanese when he asked what’s wrong. Rai is shocked and tries to stop her, but she wouldn’t listen. With no choice left, he uses his Geass to stop her and is successful. He later confronts Lelouch demanding to know what’s going on. Lelouch confesses that he commanded Euphemia to kill the Japanese with his Geass, only to have Rai’s Geass canceled out Lelouch’s. Rai becomes furious and beats up Lelouch for doing such a thing. Soon Euphemia is Geassed again into killing the Japanese is successful this time, igniting the war between Britannia and the Black Knights. Both Lelouch and Rai are shocked but can’t find out whose behind the command. Both Suzaku and Alicia meet V.V. who explains that Zero possesses Geass and is the one controlling Euphemia into killing the Japanese. Both Suzaku and Alicia are enraged.

The battle for Tokyo will be similar to the fight in the anime, but with some differences. V.V. still kidnaps Nunally, but the Black Knights were able to keep their control over Ashford Academy. Kallen and Suzaku fight, with both Guren and Lancelot wrecked, though Lylod and Cecile were able to retreat with him. Rai, in his Gekka Pre accompanies Lelouch and C.C. with the Gawain in fighting Cornelia. She has the advantage against Zero but finds out he was using himself as a distraction and Rai defeats her. Lelouch tries to get some answers from her, but is unsuccessful. C.C. tells him that Nunally’s been kidnaped. Both try to go after her but Rai tries to stop them. He argues with Lelouch that he needs to stay and lead the Black Knights to victory. Lelouch wouldn’t have it but Rai persists, making a swear on his life that they’ll find her and bring her back. Lelouch hesitates but agrees to stay and lead the Black Knights. Boh are cut off by the arrival of the Siegfried. Jeremiah engages Zero and C.C. in battle. Rai attempts to aid them but is stopped by the arrival on Alicia. Both remember each other’s voices and realize that they’re on opposite sides in the fight. Alicia becomes enraged, believing that Rai has betrayed her friendship by siding with a manipulative mass-murderer like Zero, and Rai is angry that Alicia is blinded to the fact that Britannia is too evil to be changed by just means. It’s now clear that both of them are no longer friends; only enemies.

Rai vs Alicia, Gekka Pre vs Lancelot Club. The two engage in a fierce battle, each filled with rage and attempting to kill the other. Rai attempts to use Geass on Alicia, but is unsuccessful. Alicia remembers an earlier scene where she was doing something but later wonders what she’s doing now. She guesses that Rai must possess a Geass just like Zero and may have used on her before. Rai realizes that he must’ve accidently Geassed Alicia before and can’t do it again. Alicia gains an upper hand in the fight, berating Rai for betraying her and the crimes he, Zero, and the Black Knights are responsible for. Rai counters by calling her a hopeless fool who is in the way and must be put down. Both Knightmares are heavily damaged but both are only able to make one final attack. With only rage and the thought of murder in their hearts, Rai and Alicia charge at each other, screaming each other’s names(Kira & Athrun style).

Both machines collide.

And all of that is the first half of the story.

The second half, like season 2 takes place a year after the battle at Tokyo. The Black Knights were successful in conquering Area 11 and changing its name to the United States of Japan. Zero was able to open the eyes of most of the population and win them over to his side. Japan has become a strong fortress for the Black Knights, being able to successfully repel every force Britannia has sent to reclaim Japan. Currently, U.S.J. is building up its army, but Zero knows that eventually they’ll have to take the fight to Britannia. Inside, Lelouch is still bitter over Nunally being kidnaped.

It’s then revealed on what happened to Rai and Alicia. When Gekka Pre and Lancelot Club collided, Rai got the radiant wave surge arm clamped onto Club’s torso. Meanwhile Alicia got a broken sword jammed into Gekka Pre’s hull. Rai activates the radiant wave surge, but Alicia ejects before it can kill her. Rai finds his ejection system broken during the fight and can't get out. Lancelot Club explodes and Gekka Pre is caught in the blast and knocked back. Alicia goes over and opens the cockpit to find Rai alive but injured. She attempts to kill him but Suzaku, Llyod, and Cecile arrive to retrieve her. They convince her that Rai can be of some use. Alicia’s frustrated but stays her hand. She captures Rai and takes him and an injured Cornelia with her back to Britannia.

Since then Rai was once a prisoner until he was approached by Emperor Charles Zi Britannia who remembers the Randgrith family and Rai’s connection to the Geass cult, revealing that it was V.V. who gave him his Geass. Charles uses his Geass to alter Rai’s memories and places him, Suzaku, Alicia, and some of the Knight of Rounds, including Gino Weinburg, Anya Alstreim, and Nonette Enneagram in Britannia’s forces in their mission to recapture Japan.

The story soon shifts from Japan to the War in The Pacific between United States of Japan and Britannia. In one fight, Rai engages in battle with C.C. but both end up stranded on an island. C.C. realizes that Rai’s manipulated and restores his proper memories. Rai remembers everything now. C.C. asks if he’ll go back to the Black Knights but he answers that he can’t yet; he still has to fulfill his promise to Lelouch.

He must find Nunally and bring her back to her brother.
