Oh, so Burst Angel is the manga I heard of long ago. Years ago I saw a manga where guns ownership was made legal in Japan, and I was thinking "Oh, how horrible!" and I forgot the title, but that detail always remained with me.

That is why I placed it third Wink Gonzo is a great studio. Most of the anime I own is from Gonzo and Geneon. I was so sad when Geneon went out of buisness over here Crying or Very sad

Gonzo is great. Thye did Kiddy Grade, one of the first series I bought on DVD and a definite favorite, and Strike Witchees the series I most recently purchased on DVD and another winner. A lot of good stuff in between that too.

Geneon was certainly involved in some great titles. Black Lagoon, Fate/Stay Night, Hellsing, Kannazuki no Miko, so many first rate titles. It's a real shame they went under, but I'm very grateful to Funimation for picking up most of their stuff.

Yep. I hear you. For me it was Black Lagoon which was cut off mid-release. I was more than happy that Funimation picked it up.

Havent seen Black Lagoon yet, but I've been thinking about it though. Funimation is a good studio, Gonzo is still with us far as I know, Viz I dont have a lot of there stuff, but Bandi is another big one with me Cool Code Geass, Infinight Revius, .HACK//Legend of the Twilight.

I'd definitely recommend Black Lagoon if you don't mind a more mature series.

Gonzo's sort of a different company than those. Funimation and Viz are licensing and distribution companies (as is ADV). Gonzo is a production studio more like a Sunrise, Gainax, Kyoto Animation, Production i.g. or whatever else. Bandai and Geneon are companies that did both, which kind of makes it a little more complicated.

Bandai does do some good stuff though (they get most of Sunrise's stuff). Code Geass is probably my favorite anime ever.

I actually misspoke. Geneon and Bandai are production companies but they're not involved in the actual animation like Gonzo and those other's I Nnmed. They're more on the level of Funimation, thoug more involved in the process.

I've gotten a couple Right Stuff titles, Anime Works is a Media Blasters imprint, and I know I have a fair number of Bedia Blasters titles, and I had to look up Showgate; it's a production company rather than a licensor and it's only had a handful of shows it's been involved with.

Well, I haven't seen Ninja Scroll, but I'm sure you'll be fine then. It's a very fun show.

I see. I think I only have one Right Stuff title, thats Boogie Pop Phantom, I might have others not sure, I'd have to check. Showgate I have Black Blood Brothers. Urban Vision is another one, all I have from them is Vampire Hunter D vids 1&2.

Ninja Scroll is from Manga Video 18+. Its about a Ninja nameed Jubei and a ninja poison taster named Kagaro and their battle against a group of ninja called the Devils of Kimon. Set in Fudal Japan. Its pretty good I would recomend it Cool

All I have from The Right Stuff is Ninja Nonsense and The Third (which they only distributed; Kadokawa did the licensing). Both I'd give recommendation.

I'm not seeing Showgate being listed as involved with Black Blood Brothers. I know at the least it was Funimation who did the licensing (never seen the show though).

Urban Vision is a really small company. They license very little and most of it is stuff with a more western feel to it. I've seen one of the D films but I'm not very familiar with them.

Eh, I'm not sure I'l lever get to Ninja Scroll, but it does sound intersting.

Wait, you watched Ninja Nonsense, Phil? That is one of my faves. So much yuri subtext, fanservice, and just the sheer stupidity of that yellow ball thing and the dude ninjas just keeps me coming back for me.

I seek out yuri subtext shows. I wouldn't have avoided Ninja Nonsense forever.

Great show. It'd be cute and funny even without the yuri stuff that brought me in.

Well Showgate is listed upon the boxed set that I have of Black Blood Brothers, but ur right Funimation is listed there too. U soo should check it out. Prob one of the best vampire anime's I have ever seen, next to hellsing. Jiro is Alucard crossed with Trinity Bloods father Able Nightroad.

Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust is the second film and its the best, thats prob the one u saw since the first one is realy old and hard to find. The copy I found was in a used CD store. Vampire Hunter D is a serise of horror novels by Hideyuki Kikuchi and illostrated by Yoshitaka Amano. There are 17 books in all but only books 1 and 3 were made into anime films.

It's fucking awesome. Kind of which it was an H-anime, Shinobu and Kaede look like they're meant for each other. That yellow ball, Onsokumaru, on the other hand, was my favorite character to hate and I always laughed everytime he got hurt, maimed, or killed.
